Who is this for?

  • Volunteer and paid minibus drivers
  • Community groups, schools and charities that run a minibus
  • Our own drivers, who are all MIDAS trained

MIDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme, a nationally recognised standard for people who drive minibuses, run by the Community Transport Association. All of our own drivers are MIDAS trained.

We now offer MIDAS training to other organisations. Call us on 01268 465858 for current course dates and prices, or send us an enquiry and choose "MIDAS Training".

What the training covers

MIDAS covers what a minibus driver needs to know: the driver's legal responsibilities, safe driving, and looking after passengers. There is also an accessible course for drivers who carry passengers in wheelchairs, which covers using the lift or ramp and securing wheelchairs safely. You can read more about the scheme on the Community Transport Association's website.
